With a Little Help From My Friends (that's YOU.)

So, I get my results. I got over 95% for all my subjects except History, which was still an A, but a shit one. So anyway.

Should I take a Philosophy degree before moving on to do a Law course, or just do a Law degree? The former option lets me do useless, interesting nothing for three years, while the latter options means I get a job quicker but that I ditch my personal academic interests.

#getLIT for people who think writing is just tops

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION BROS YO!!!
Philosophy at university gets boring real fast.
Go for your interests! An extra year doing a law conversion course won't be too long to wait :)
Really? :(

True. :) But I don't know where I can do one of those. I've seen two year ones. :( Okay I should research.

As a Philosophy student, and one who will be applying to Graduate programs to pursue his PhD, I would suggest doing Philosophy!

You may think it to be useless now, but I assure you there is more for you in that discipline than any other.

Well yeah. I took subjects kind of intermittently - first year philosophy had like 200 students ... second year had like 50 ... third year classes have less than 10 people. There's a tremendous dropout rate because there's a big difference between enjoying philosophy - reading, thinking, etc - and how you study it at uni.

I think its probably similar with all subjects - pet interests don't necessarily make for good study options; in fact, after two years of philosophy study, I would say that I've lost interest in it entirely and I have a similar problem with history (which is one of the degrees I'm doing).
You hate me? :(
